Musician Nick Carter has announced that he and his wife Lauren Kitt are expecting their third child together!
The Backstreet Boys member shared a sonogram video to his Instagram page with the caption, “Sometimes life blesses you with little surprises.” On Lauren’s Instagram page, she shared an IGTV interview the couple had done with People. Lauren detailed her experience with her pregnancy and shared that she didn’t have any symptoms. One day, she felt something move inside of her and she went to the doctor to discover that she was carrying another baby and she was over 5 months along.
The news came as a surprise to the couple, as Lauren was not supposed to be able to have any more children. That was part of the reason the actress never assumed she was pregnant. “There was just no way that I could be pregnant, from just my medical history and the things that I did to ensure that I just had my two children.”
In 2018, before the couple welcomed their daughter Saoirse Reign, the couple shared that they had suffered a miscarriage. In her interview, Lauren revealed that had actually suffered several miscarriages before giving birth to Saoirse. “My last — the one before Saoirse — was a second-term loss, which is more … just more traumatic and there’s a lot that goes into it. [It was] similar to what Chrissy Teigen went through. When she came out with her story, we were so happy because we were like, ‘Wow, other people are open and sharing their stories and it’s not so taboo.’ People go through it and I was actually very grateful that they shared as much as they did and as in-depth as they did, because I mean, no one talks about it.”
Nick and Lauren welcomed their first child, a son named Odin Reign, in April of 2016. Congratulations to Nick and Lauren on growing their family once again! We wish them good health as they prepare to welcome their third child into the world this April.
