NFL player Patrick Mahomes is officially a father of two! The Kansas City Cheifs quarterback has announced the arrival of his second child with his wife Brittany Matthews, a personal trainer.
The couple announced their pregnancy in May and revealed in June that they were expecting a son. Their son made his arrival on November 28th and measured 7 lbs 8 oz at birth. As for their son’s name, the couple chose to go the traditional route and named him after Patrick, who is named after his father: Patrick Lavon Mahomes III. They revealed that their son will go by the nickname Bronze. The couple did not reveal their newborn’s face in their announcement photo, opting instead to show the little one from the waist down wearing a beige and white tie-dye onesie while lying on a brown blanket with the family’s last name on it.
The Super Bowl LIV champion and Brittany welcomed their first child together last year. Their daughter Sterling Skye was born in February 2021. In celebrating her baby shower earlier this month, the fitness entrepreneur reflected on her role as a mother to Sterling. “As we embark on the last several weeks of this baby girl being my only child, I can only think of how thankful I am to be her mama! Sterling Skye, you have taught me so much about life. Peace, patience, to be present and truly only spend your time on what matters! You my girl are my everything & I will never take this life with you for granted! I can not wait for you to be the best big sister but also soaking in every last second with just you ster girl.”
Patrick and Brittany have been together since 2012 and began dating in high school. The football player asked Brittany to marry him in September 2020. The couple enjoyed a long engagement and got married earlier this year in March. They tied the knot on March 12th in Maui, Hawaii surrounded by family and friends.
