Though Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson planned to run the Boston Marathon this year, it seems her pregnancy has sidelined her. Her husband, Washington Redskins football player Andrew East, however, will run.
Shawn and Andrew recently announced that they’re expecting their first child together in a sweet video.
She captioned a photo on Instagram: “@theeastbaby … we cannot WAIT to welcome you to the world and shower you with love. @andrewdeast WE DID IT!”
As for the marathon, well, she has the happiest reason of all to miss out on the run, noting in an Instagram post: “Well… @theeastbaby won’t let me run this year but I can’t FRICKEN WAIT to cheer on my smokin hott husband tomorrow! If you are in Boston and see him running you better cheer SO LOUD for him! @andrewdeast@clifbar @bostonmarathon (don’t worry… I’ll post his bib number so you can track him).”
