Counting On star Joy-Anna Forsyth (née Duggar) has grown her family by one more! Joy and her husband Austin Forsyth have announced the arrival of their third child. They shared their pregnancy news back in October 2022. “Mama and baby are recovering well.”
Joy and Austin have welcomed a baby boy on May 17th. The couple announced the news on Instagram and shared a vlog to their YouTube. Their video began with audio from Joy’s birth where she welcomed her son. It was followed by video of Joy announcing the news with to her family and then showed clips from a gender reveal party where the couple learned they would have a son. Then, the video had several clips of Joy at various doctor’s appointments where she talked about her pregnancy and how she was feeling at the time. The end of the video showed Joy getting ready to go to the hospital, in disbeleif that her little one would soon arrive.
Two days after Joy and Austin announced the birth of their son, they shared his name: Gunner James Forsyth. “Soaking up every moment. He is the sweetest lil man.” The couple’s newborn joins the Forsythe family with their first two children: Gideon Martyn and Evelyn Mae. In celebration of Gideon’s birthday in February, Joy gushed about her son writing, “Gideon genuinely loves people. He has the biggest smile on his face 99% of the time. He is loyal and a great protector of his little sister. He wants to be a “worker man” when he grows up 👷🏼♂️. His favorite color ‘today’ is blue 😉. And he loves working with any kind of heavy equipment.”
The couple first met when they were children and both were in attendance at a homeschooling conference. They tied the knot in May 2017 after dating for two years. Gideon was born the following year on February 24, 2018.
