Sadie Robertson, Duck Dynasty star turned author and motivational speaker, has announced the arrival of her first child. She and her husband, Christian Huff, welcomed their child on May 11th. Sadie and Christian both expressed gratitude for their bundle of joy.

It’s a girl! Sadie revealed the gender of her first child in November of 2020 with a lavish gender reveal. The Live On Purpose author captioned her daughter’s arrival with words of gratitude. “We saw a million little miracles yesterday – the best one being this girl right here… Honey 💛 the pure goodness of God.” Sadie also shared that she would divulge more of her birth story soon but that she and Christian are “way too occupied right now by cuteness.”

Sadie revealed the name she and Christian chose for their daughter back in April. Her reason for sharing her daughter’s name before her birth was so that her fans could hear the news straight from her instead of other news sources.

They chose the name Honey James Huff! The Live Original founder went into great detail about the meaning of her daughter’s name. In particular, there is a bible verse that inspired her. “‘Gracious words are like HONEY, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.’ Proverbs‬ ‭16:24 I’ve always loved this verse. It made me have a love for the idea of all that honey is. It’s a sweet delicacy with a strong healing component. When Christian and I started dating we went through the book of Proverbs together and I remember getting to chapter 16 and as I read verse 24 I said to him, ‘you have words like honey. they are so sweet and are healing places in my heart I didn’t even know needed to be healed.’”

Congratulations to Sadie and Christian on welcoming Honey into the world! We wish them all the best as they soak up this newborn stage with their daughter.
