Actress Samantha Hanratty is going to be a mom! Samantha, most notably known for portraying the role of Misty on the TV series Yellowjackets, took to Instagram to share that she and her husband Christian DeAnda are expecting their first baby together. “Come follow this new adventure.”
Samantha shared a video on Instagram that showed her with a bag of pregnancy tests as she took her viewers on a journey to take one of the tests. Unfortunately the first test was negative, and the actresses sadly shared the results in the video. With tears in her eyes, she said, “It was negative. I said I wasn’t gonna get my hopes up.” But, she went on to say that she “could still be pregnant and should try again next week.” The next part of the video showed the Timeline star taking another test on a different day. In disbelief, she saw the results and found she had a positive pregnancy test. She repeated, “No way,” multiple times in excitement.
In the caption of her video, Samantha revealed that she is “still in shock and it’s been 4 months!” She went on to share that she “will be sharing more from my journey because it has been a wild one!” The news of Samantha’s pregnancy comes less than one year after the actress tied the knot to her husband Christian DeAnda. The couple announced their engagement in 2021 and were married last November in California. Of her wedding day, the Shameless alum shared with The Knot that her favorite part of the day was, “the moment I turned the corner to walk down the aisle and our eyes met. It’s not something you can really describe—it’s something that’s felt, and I think everyone there felt it too.”
