Last week, Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson announced the birth of her third baby with her husband Andrew East. Their little one was born on December 12th and shared they wanted to spend some time with their newborn before sharing their name and sex. Now, the couple has announced details about baby number 3!

Shawn and Andrew have added another baby boy to their family! The couple chose to name their second son BarrettBearMadison East. The Gold Medalist announced the news alongside a black and white photo of her family. “We’ve all been waiting for you.”

The day before revealing her son’s name, Shawn hinted to his moniker in the first post she shared of him on her Instagram. She captioned the post with a bear emoji alongside his birth date. Many people in the comments guessed what the hint was, with Bear and Teddy topping the list. The athlete also popped into Instagram stories with images of her newborn, and in one she wrote, “Our sweet sweet Bear. Eating and sleeping like a champ.”

Bear joins the East family with the couple’s two older children, daughter Drew Hazel, 4, and son Jett James, 2. The former football player reflected on the difference between welcoming his first baby and his third in his first post featuring his new son with a caption on a post that read, “First one was scary, third one is fun.”

Congratulations again to Shawn and Andrew on the arrival of their third baby! We hope they continue to enjoy settling into life as a family of five.
