Former Olympian Shawn Johnson welcomed her second child into the world earlier this month. The news that Shawn and her husband, Andrew East, had given birth to their second child was announced through the couple’s toy brand Teddy and Bear. Now, less than 10 days later, the couple has revealed the name they chose for their son.
Shawn and Andrew, who have a YouTube page dedicated to sharing their family life, posted a video where their baby boy met his family, minus his sister, the couple’s daughter Drew Hazel. The couple shared that a video of their in-person meeting will be coming soon. In the description of their latest video they teased, “Stay tuned for next week’s episode where Drew finally gets to meet her little brother… bring the tissues.”
The name they chose for their son is Jett James East. Since Shawn shared her first images of baby Jett, she has been featuring her newest arrival in her Instagram Stories. Sadly, she also revealed that her daughter Drew was diagnosed with RSV, which caused her to have to spend time away from her daughter to care for her baby. Luckily, Drew is starting to feel better and Shawn shared that “This mamas heartache is easing.”
Shawn and Andrew shared that they “are still over the moon that little man is finally with us. We’re in heaven. We’re so thankful we get to share this journey with you. Thank you for the continued prayers, we so appreciate them!”
