Former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson is going to be a mom! The actress, most notably known for portraying the role of Zuri Ross on the series Jessie and Bunk’d, has revealed she is pregnant with her first baby. Skai confirmed the news in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.
The 22-year-old was photographed showcasing her growing baby bump. She wore a pair of jeans that sat below her bump and a white cropped top. The Man in the White Van star shared with PEOPLE about her news, “I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life — embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!” While the actress does have a boyfriend, she has not confirmed his identity. No details are known about Skai’s pregnancy, including her due date or her baby’s sex.
The Disney Channel star has been open about growing up with a single mother in the past, sharing what the experience taught her about life. In February 2023, Skai shared with PEOPLE that her mom “always taught me to stand up for myself, stand up for what I believe in and fight for what is right. I thank her for that because without her, I probably wouldn’t have a lot of the confidence that I do now.”
She also shared at the time what it meant to her to be a role model, noting that it’s “a lot of pressure. [But] at the end of the day, I look at myself as the regular person that people just happen to like or enjoy. It’s very important for me to put out the right message, be positive at all times and give my fans great advice. Let them know that anything that they want to do in life, they can achieve it.”
