Golden State Warriors player Steph Curry is growing his family! The NBA player’s wife Ayesha Curry revealed the couple is expecting their fourth baby together in a cover story for Sweet July Magazine. While the couple thought they were “done having kids,” they realized that “somebody was missing.”
In the article, told by Sweet July founder Ayesha in the company’s first digital issue, she shared how she and Steph came to the decision to grow their family. “For so many years, Stephen and I thought we were done. We said, ‘Three, that’s it, we’re not doing this again.'” The couple share daughters Riley, 11, and Ryan, 8, and son Canon, 5. But last year, something changed for the couple. “We looked at each other and agreed we wanted to do this again.”
The Irish Wish star went on to explain, “For me, the decision came from always finding myself looking around and feeling like somebody was missing. I would load up the car and think, ‘Oh, I forgot something.’ But nobody was forgotten. It started to turn my brain a little bit. Maybe somebody was missing. So we set out on this journey, knowing that this would complete our family.”
Steph and Ayesha first met in 2002 at a church youth group in North Carolina. It wasn’t until 2008 that the two reconnected in Los Angeles, with Steph pursuing his basketball career and Ayesha her acting career. They began a romantic relationship and got engaged in 2010. In July 2011, the couple tied the knot at the church where they first met.
