Supermodel and actress Naomi Campbell has announced the arrival of her first child! The model, 50, shared an image to her Instagram page of her newborn’s feet to reveal the surprising news.

It’s a girl! Naomi captioned her photo: “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.” Fellow celebrities wished Naomi congratulations on the news in her comments section of her post. Actress Zoe Saldana wrote, “oh my goodness congrats lady! What a blessing!!!” Designer Marc Jacobs said, “Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around. ❤️❤️❤️”

Over the last few years, Naomi has discussed her desire to have children. She told Evening Standard magazine in May 2017 that the thought of becoming a mother had crossed her mind but she wasn’t in any rush at the time. “I think about having children all the time. But now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want.” In October of 2019, she told WSJ. Magazine, “not yet — I’ll see what the universe brings me,” when asked about having children.

Congratulations to Naomi on becoming a mother and expanding her family! We wish her all the best as she embraces this exciting new journey.
