Country singer Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins have announced on Instagram that they are expecting! The couple that makes everyone scream #couplegoals are already parents to two little girls. Now they are welcoming a third! The couple posted a video of the gender reveal where they popped pink dust into the sky. By the looks of it, it appears everyone in the family was expecting the baby to be a boy! Thomas and his two daughters were wearing blue shirts.

We decided we didn’t have enough princess dresses around the house so we’re adding another Akins baby girl to the family early next year 💕🎀😭💗💗💗 despite Thomas Rhett’s initial shock (swipe to see video 😂) we are absolutely over the moon for our baby girl! Our girls cannot wait to meet their little sister 💕💕 Willa Gray prays for her every night (heart in a puddle every time😭😭) & she and Ada James love to touch my belly and talk to her😭😭💗💗💗-especially bc I’ve been showing since I was SEVEN weeks (🤪). So it feels like we have been hiding this secret for an ETERNITY. And I’d like to apologize to everyone I’ve canceled on, said no to or just been MIA, but for a second there I wasn’t sure if I was pregnant or just puked for a living🤢. Thomas and Lauren adopted their first daughter, Willa Gray from Uganda, bringing her home in 2017. Lauren was visiting Uganda in 2016 working with orphans. At that time, the couple had been trying to conceive but were unable to. They had been just starting to discuss adoption. It appeared fate stepped in when Lauren met Willa, who she nicknamed “Blessing”. Willa had been orphaned since birth.

The adoption process was a long one. While they were going through the process, the couple discovered they were expecting! Lauren and Thomas welcomed Willa home just three months before giving birth to their second daughter, Ada James in August 2017.

Willa and Ada are the most adorable sisters and will have so much fun welcoming another little girl into their home. We’re very excited for this sweet family!
