In January, retired NFL quarterback Tim Tebow shared that he was expecting his first baby with his wife Demi-Leigh Tebow. Today, the couple took to Instagram to share their baby’s sex. “Our greatest blessing.”
The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, posted a video where they each wore a pair of blue jeans and white t-shirts and stood in front of a blank white canvas. They discussed their guesses on their baby’s sex. Both of them guess they’re expecting a girl, but each revealed they would be “happy either way.” The video then cuts to black and white where the former Jacksonville Jaguars player and his wife put on blindfolds and were given paint to use on the canvas. When they took their blindfolds off, they turned around to discover pink paint. It’s a girl!
In the caption, the former Miss Universe gushed, “We’ve been praying for her long before we knew her, and we’re beyond grateful that God chose us to be her parents. We can’t wait to meet you, baby girl!” She also shared that the picture they painted would be used in their daughter’s nursery. “To create a meaningful piece of art for the nursery, we decided to find out the gender through painting!”
In addition to the paint, they chose a Bible verse to add to it, and they had chosen different ones based on their baby’s sex. “We chose two Bible verses—one for a boy and one for a girl—to add to the canvas once it was complete. The verse we want to speak over our baby girl is Psalm 25:4-5: ‘Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.'” She continued, “We pray that she always finds her identity in Christ and places her hope in His love and truth.” To end the post, Demi-Leigh wrote, “Now, let’s get this nursery in order! Bring on the pink bows, ruffles, and all things sweet.”
Congratulations to Tim and Demi-Leigh on the news of their baby girl!
