Actors Tyler Hilton and Megan Park have grown their family! The One Tree Hill alum and The Secret Life of the American Teenager alum have announced the surprise birth of their second baby together. The couple hadn’t previously shared that they were expecting a baby.
This morning, the director shared an Instagram post announcing the arrival of the couple’s second baby. Megan posted a close-up image of her children holding hands. The couple welcomed a baby boy and chose to name him Bennett, with the nickname Benny. The My Old Ass director welcomed her first baby with the “Sunday Afternoon (You)” singer in 2020, a daugther named Winnie. Similar to the arrival of their son, the couple didn’t share when Megan was pregnant with Winnie.
In her post, The Fallout director wrote about the family’s new addition sharing, “Meet Benny. We are madly in love. He is the most incredible gift and Winnie adores being a big sister.” The actress also referenced the loss of her dad in the post. She announced on June 10th that he had passed away “after a very brief and sudden illness.” Megan wrote candidly, “Losing my dad at 38 weeks pregnant was…. horrific. But I think the universe knew sweet Benny would be a light to help us through…” The actors met in 2007 on the set of the film Charlie Bartlett and dated for eight years before tying the knot. In 2015, the couple said “I do” in a ceremony at Malibu Canyon in Los Angeles.
Co-stars from the couple’s former shows took to the comments to congratulate the family on their new arrival. Tyler’s One Tree Hill co-star Barbara Alyn Woods wrote, “CONGRATS!!!!! So so happy for your family!!!” Hilarie Burton, who starred in One Tree Hill and two Lifetime movies with Tyler commented, “I can’t wait to meet sweet Benny.” Megan’s Secret Life co-stars also chimed in. Actress Francia Raisa wrote, “Megan!!!!! 🥹 congratulations! 🎉” while actor Daren Kagasoff commented, “awww Benny ❤️🎉 beautiful Megan.”
