This morning, the news broke that actor Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger had given birth to their first child together. The news was confirmed by Katherine’s brother Patrick. However, no further details were known about the newborn… until now!
Chris and Katherine shared the same image to each of their Instagram pages. It was a simple image that showed Chris and Katherine holding hands with their new baby – a baby girl! They also announced her name: Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. How sweet! Lyla’s middle name is likely a nod to her maternal grandmother, Maria Shriver.
In the caption of her photo, Katherine shared, “We couldn’t be happier and we feel extremely blessed!” Chris echoed Katherine’s sentiment sharing, “We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed.” Chris also chose to share two bible verses from Psalm that discuss the beauty and importance of children.
