Beauty influencer and YouTube star Desi Perkins is growing her family! The YouTuber shared a touching Instagram Reel video to share that she and her husband Steven are expecting their second child together.
The video begins with Desi and her son, 1-year-old Ocean, tending to their garden. Gardening is an activity the influencer frequently features on her social media. Halfway through the video, Desi, holding Ocean in her arms, turns to Steven to take some plants to reveal her exposed baby bump. The video continues to show the couple kissing each other and Ocean kissing his mom’s belly as they all tend to the garden. “Here we grow again,” she captioned the post. Steven shared the same video to his Instagram account with the caption, “We are adding another set of hands to the Perkins produce farm this year. @desiperkins one can bring the flower and the other can help with the coffee.”
The Dezi Skin founder shared another equally touching video that was a collection of videos that showed Steven bringing Ocean into what appeared to be the couple’s bedroom holding a flower for his mom. The video ended with Ocean bringing in sonogram photos of his little sibling. Desi captioned the video, “This is what dreams are made of.”
Before welcoming Ocean in October 2020, Desi opened up with People about the couple having trouble concieivng. “A lot of people think it’s the woman’s fault all the time. A lot of shame gets put on us as women, which is so sad because that’s not always the case. The shame shouldn’t get put on either person, but I noticed that it’s always [made to seem like] the woman’s fault if she can’t conceive naturally.” The couple went through in vitro fertilization (IVF) to conceive Ocean.
