Beauty YouTuber Shannon Harris, known by her username shaaanxo, has announced the arrival of her first child! Shannon welcomed her first child with her husband Hamish Kennard on May 25, 2022, at 8:34 PM in New Zealand.
It’s a boy! The couple had previously announced in January that they were expecting a son, just one month after announcing their pregnancy in December of 2021. The couple chose to name their son Porter Henry Kennard. “Hamish and I are so so so in love,” the content creator wrote in her post, “he is just perfect.”
Shannon, founder of the beauty brand XOBEAUTY, opened up about her birth experience in her post writing, “I was induced from Monday and had a long three days before he made his appearance, and after two hours of pushing there he was 😍💞 I had to have some assistance because I well and truly used every ounce of energy I had, so he has been recovering well in neonates and I’ve been recovering well too. Sorry for being so quiet but we have just been focused on healing and bonding and will continue to do so… but you’ll see more spam now I feel ready.”
Hamish shared his own announcement post on his Instagram and gushed about being a new dad and his appreciation for his wife. “So much love for him already, it’s really hard to put into words what I feel for him. Nothing has made me more happier and prouder in my life! I hope @shaaanxo and I can give him a good life, I hope we make many good memories together. I can’t wait to learn more about him 🥳💙 His birth experience was not something like in the movies, it was harder to go through than I expected, it has been a long process so far to make sure he is safe to go home but I think we are almost there 🥳 Thanks to my amazing wife @shaaanxo for carrying him for so long and for loving him so much.”
