Hi Grandma Maggie,

Hi! I am a 27 year old deaf female. I have 3 beautiful children who are 6, 3 and 1 years old. I found out I am pregnant with my 4th child few days ago. I am 2 months pregnant. I worried so much about miscarriage because I went through two miscarriages and that’s why I am afraid to miscarry another one. I want to stop thinking of miscarriage. How? My husband says have faith and you will have a beautiful baby on the way. Also, I am afraid of finding another boy on the way. My husband and I wanted to have another girl. We both have 2 boys and 1 girl. I am raising the kids on my own since my husband is in Korea and I am not sure when he is coming back home from Korea for good. Do you think I will be fine with this 4th child? I hope so! I don’t want to lose the baby this time. It is my last child.

I hope to get your advice,

Christy

Dear Christy,

The reality is I cannot assure you of not having a miscarriage. When you decided to have a fourth child it was a chance you knew existed. Also, when one decides to have a baby, it’s a baby (not a boy or a girl) that you decide upon. As of yet, the gender cannot be specified.

My best,

Grandma Maggie
