Actress and comedian Jenny Slate appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers and shared some exciting news. She’s pregnant!

Seth asked the Parks and Recreation star how she had been spending the last nine months of quarantine. “Well, let me tell you, on night one of the lockdown, we had a really romantic night of being together,” she started, referring to her fiancé, gallery curator Ben Shattuck. She continued, saying, “Then I did what everyone else did, I kind of hunkered down and baked a lot of bread. But I just want to say, I think I might have baked too much bread or eaten too much bread. You tell me, Seth.”

Jenny then stood up and in full view on her camera was a growing baby bump! The comedian joked and said, “I feel different!” Such a cute way to share her pregnancy! The mom-to-be also shared her sentiments on becoming pregnant during the pandemic. “It’s very nice to have something that is incredibly positive during a time that’s hard and sad.”

Given the timeline of Jenny’s story, she and Ben likely conceived in March which means she could give birth before the close of the year! This new bundle of joy will be her and Ben’s first child.

The “Little Weirds” author and Ben first went public with their relationship in January of 2019 at the Sundance Film Festival. A few months later in September, Jenny announced that she and Ben had become engaged. Ben popped the question in an abandoned castle in southern France. On her Instagram post, she wrote, “He took me to France and made a picnic and made me feel happy and free and then he asked me to marry him and I screamed YES. I love you, Ben Shattuck. You are the kindest and brightest and I am so grateful and here we go and keep going.”

Congratulations to Jenny and Ben on growing their family!
