Actress Sarah Snook is a mom! The Succession star subtly revealed she had welcomed her first baby with her husband Dave Lawson, an actor and comedian, while reflecting on the series finale of the HBO TV series. The series, where Sarah portrayed the role of Siobhan “Shiv” Roy, aired it’s series finale following a four-season run on Sunday.
Announcing her child’s arrival was quite subtle as the actress shared an image that showed the head of her little one next to hers while the two appeared to look at the TV. On the screen was a title screen for Succession, and in Sarah’s caption, she reflected on the end of the show and its impact on her. “It’s hard to express what this show has meant to me. The places I got to go, the immense talent I got to work with…it breaks my heart that it is all over. But my heart had to be this full of all the memories, good times, challenges and triumphs, to be able to break at all…so that makes me grateful. To have been blessed to join this crazy adventure of a show will be a career highlight, which will no doubt be hard to top. I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we all set the bar high for each other, then exceeded it and excelled, in every department. The friendships, the scripts, the locations, the one liners, the early mornings, the last minute changes, all the highs and lows: I’m going to miss it all. The people of this show are a talented bunch, and I’m proud to have worked alongside them, it’s the people I will miss most of all.”
To end the caption, Sarah gave mention to her baby when expressing her next adventure. “I just watched the final episode of the final season of something that has changed my life. And now, my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support.” The Pieces of a Woman star did not share details about her baby, incluing their name or sex.
News of Sarah’s pregnancy broke in March when Sarah attended the premiere of Succession‘s final season. The actress wore a black jumpsuit that hugged her growing baby bump and she revealed she was 32-weeks along at the time and that she had been pregnant while filming some of the final epsiodes. While this is her first baby, for her husband Dave, this is baby number two. Sarah and Dave tied the knot in October 2021 after being friends for over five years before their relationship turned romantic in 2020.
