Quarterback Baker Mayfield is ready to tackle a new job! The Tampa Bay Buccaneers player has announced that he and his wife Emily Wilkinson are expecting their first baby together. And, they revealed the sex of their little one.
“We’ve been hiding a little something……..,” Emily began the caption of the couple’s joint Instagram post, which was paired with pictures of the couple on a beach with their dog Fergus. The couple then revealed they are expecting a daughter due in April 2024. “But we are THRILLED to share that baby girl Mayfield will be joining our crazy crew in early April 2024!.”
The comment section of the couple’s post was flooded with congratulations from fellow NFL players. Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, commented, “Ayyyeee!! Congrats you guys!” and Sterling Shepard, wide receiver of the New York Giants, wrote, “Let’s gooooo!! Congrats you two.”
Baker met the influencer in 2017 through a mutual friend, who thought the couple would be great together. After trying to set them up, the two had a chance encounter over FaceTime that kicked off their relationship. They went on to tie the knot in July 2019. In celebration of their 4th wedding anniversary, Emily gushed over her husband on Instagram in a post writing, “Happy 4 year anniversary to my sweet husband. These last few years we have grown in so many ways, and I am SO proud of where we are in our marriage. What a fun way to ring in #4! And thanks @terranearesort for the getaway we so badly needed! I love you @bakermayfield.”
