Professional dancer Mark Ballas has officially stepped into a new role: fatherhood! The Dancing with the Stars pro has announced the arrival of his first baby with his wife, singer and songwriter BC Jean. “Welcome to Earth my son.”

Mark and BC Jean welcomed a baby boy on November 5th and chose to name him Banksi Wylde Ballas. To share the news, they shared a close up picture of the couple holding their newborn’s hand. The couple, who work together as an indie duo band Alexander Jean, announced in June they would be growing their family this year.

The comment section of Mark’s post was flooded with congratulatory remarks from his fellow Dancing with the Stars co-stars. Influencer Charli D’Amelio, who competed with Mark on season 31 of the show, commented, “CONGRATULATIONS!! SO HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH!!!!” Fellow professionals dancers Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess, and Peta Murgatroyd popped in with support as well. Lindsay, who welcomed a baby in May, wrote, “The sweetest fam I love you guys.” Sharna commented, “Banksi 😍 what a name! So perfect, congratulations you two.” And Peta, who also welcomed a baby this year, shared, “The best!! Love you Banksi.”

Last month, Mark shared a video of him singing Alexander Jean’s song “So Small” and reflected on this stage in his life. “Little one, I have watched you grow over the last 9 months in mums tummy & I will be here to watch you grow, hold your hand, laugh with you, cry with you, protect you but let you run free, advise you but let you make your own decisions & love you unconditionally till my last day in this life.. I have no idea what this chapter will hold, but I promise to do my best to be the best dad I can be. I love you. Dad.”

Congratulations to Mark and BC Jean on the arrival of their first baby!
