Singer-songwriter Darren Criss is gearing up to become a father once again! The “Christmas Dance” singer announced that he and his wife Mia Swier are expecting their second baby together. The couple revealed the news in an intentionally-bad photoshopped image.
For their hilarious picture, the singer drew inspiration from the 2018 sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Each member of the family had their heads poorly photoshopped onto members of the cast. At the bottom of the image, two positive pregnancy tests were added to the photo. “And COMING SOON,” Darren began his caption, “let’s hope the sequel is better than the photoshop.” The singer, who just wrapped up his A Very Darren Crissmas North America Tour, did not reveal his newborn’s due date.
The Glee star and his wife welcomed their first baby, a daughter, in April 2022. The couple chose a musical name for their little one: Bluesy Belle Criss. This past Father’s Day, Darren shared a touching image of himself holding hands with Bluesy while he wore a hat that said “Girl Dad.” He captioned the photo simply, “all about it.”
Darren and Mia met in 2006 through mutual friends but their relationship didn’t turn romantic until four years later. In January 2018, the couple announced they were engaged. However, he revealed at the time that they had been engaged for quite some time before making their announcement, but it’s unclear how long. The couple tied the knot in New Orleans in February 2019.
