Yesterday, reality star Jessa Seewald (née Duggar) announced the birth of her fifth baby with her husband Ben Seewald. She shared that the couple welcomed a son on December 19th, but did not reveal his moniker at the time. Today, she announced the name the couple chose for their newborn.
The 19 Kids and Counting star shared a video to her family’s YouTube channel, similar to how she revealed she had given birth, that began with the couple’s four kids coming to the hospital to meet their new baby brother. The couple share sons Spurgeon Elliot, 8, and Henry Wilberforce, 6, and daughters Ivy Jane, 4, and Fern Elliana, 2. When the children met their baby brother, Jessa shared that the couple hadn’t settled on a name at the time.
Throughout the rest of the video, she shared images and videos of other family members meeting the newborn, including his grandparents and aunt.s Then, she revealed the name the couple, who tied the knot in November 2014, settled on: George Augustine Seewald. “I think it suits him,” the Counting On gushed. The remainder of the video showed George arriving home to his excited siblings, all eager to hold him and love him.
Congratulations again to Jessa and Ben on the arrival of baby George! We hope they enjoy a full house as a family of seven just in time for Christmas Day.
