Last month, 5 Seconds of Summer band member Michael Clifford and his wife Crystal Leigh Lauderdale announced they were expecting their first baby together. Today, the couple revealed the sex of their little one!
To share the news, Michael shared a series of images from a gender reveal party. The first one showed the guitarist’s elated expression upon learning the sex. “I’m gonna be a girl dad.” The images showed the couple surrounded by pink smoke and pink confetti. For the occasion, the entertainment manager wore a ruffled pink dress while Michael wore a pink beanie and a light blue button-down shirt.
For her post, Crystal shared some of the same images as Michael, but included a few additional ones, including a video of the couple, who married in January 2021, hugging as they learned the news. In the caption, she wrote, “no caption needed. His face says it all. Baby girl Clifford is on her way!” When announcing their pregnancy in January, the couple revealed Crystal’s due date is November 11th.
Crystal has shared a few posts documenting her pregnancy since announcing the news earlier this year. Last month, she shared a picture of her holding her exposed baby bump and wrote, “I am currently two humans, two heartbeats, two souls! and becoming a better person every day because of this beautiful new life that exists inside of me – the MOST ALIVE I’ve ever felt, entirely honored by this experience so far… and we’re only halfway there. thank you for the outpouring of love around our announcement, we all truly FEEL it and appreciate it more than you know.”
Congratulations to Michael and Crystal on the news of their baby girl! We wish them lots of love as they prepare to welcome their firstborn into the world.
