Actress Christine Lakin, who played the tomboy character Al on the 90’s sitcom Step by Step, is a mom!  Lakin and her husband Brandon Breault named their baby girl Georgia James Breault.

Lakin, 37, shared a photo of the newborn on Instagram with the caption: “Introducing… Georgia James Breault // Born March 6, 5lbs 13oz…We are overjoyed and so in love.”

Lakin has blogged about her pregnancy journey for People.  One month after her baby’s arrival, the self confessed Type-A personality wrote about the adjustments she has had to make since becoming a mother.

“No, it’s not perfect. It’s confusing and messy and the laundry is never done. Yes, I have hummus in my hair and have leaked through my shirt. But who cares? Smell her head. Tickle her feet. Take yet another picture. And then get spit up on and repeat the whole process. Because it’s awesome and the reward of that first smile is better than anything I could have imagined before I became a mom.”

Lakin is best known for her role on the long-running family comedy which was featured on ABC’s popular mid-90’s TGIF block. She has continued to act in various TV guest roles and lends her voice to audiobooks, video games, and The Family Guy.

Lakin and Breault met in 2010 when they performed in the same theater company; they wed in Santa Ynez, California, in October 2014.  Georgia is the first child for both.
