Abigail Anderson Berard is gearing up for motherhood! The childhood best friend of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift took to Instagram to reveal she and her husband Charles Berard are pregnant with their first baby. Abigail gave a nod to her BFF’s song when sharing her announcement.
Abigail, who works as Chief of Staff at Celero Commerce, posted a photo on Instagram of her wearing a black button front shirt, which opened up over her growing baby bump. She held a box of Cheez-it crackers in one arm and appeared to be eating from the box with the other. For her caption, she choice a line from Taylor’s song “But Daddy I Love Him” off her album The Tortured Poets Department. “I’m having his babyyyy… 💙” The inclusion of the blue heart emoji could signify her baby’s sex, but that is not confirmed.
The musician popped into Abigail’s comment section with a cheeky caption writing, “When the internet says ‘MOTHER’ I feel like this pic is actually what they mean.” Abigail and Taylor have been friends since their first day of high school, and Abigail was even the inspiration for Taylor’s song “Fifteen” from her album Fearless. Early in her career during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Taylor discussed the two’s friendship sharing, “I have a lot of friends who do what I do. Either they’re actresses or singers or things like that. But my best friend, Abigail, we met when I was 15. First day of school freshman year we sat next to each other in English.”
Abigail and Charles, who goes by Charlie and also works for Celero Commerce, tied the knot in September 2022. The wedding came less than one year after the couple announced their engagement in November 2021. Abigail was previously married to Matt Lucier, photographer, from 2017 to 2021.
Congratulations to Abigail and Charlie on the news of their first baby!
