Actor Kellan Lutz, most notably known for portraying the role of Emmett Cullen in The Twilight Saga film series, is expecting his second child with his wife Brittany! This exciting news comes just shy of welcoming their first child one year ago on February 22, 2021.
Brittany posted an Instagram Reel video to announce the news that showed her sharing the news with Kellan. The video started out with a positive pregnancy test and then cut to Kellan on the couch. A caption on the screen revealed that Brittany invited him to a calendar event titled “Baby #2 Due Date.” Kellan asked his wife, “We’re pregnant?” and then excitedly hugged his wife. Brittany shared, “I couldn’t wait to tell you.” The podcaster captioned her video, “2 UNDER 2 IN 2022!!!! Some might say we’re crazy, we say we’re crazy BLESSED.” Kellan reshared the video to his Instagram page to share the news with his followers.
This announcement comes just a few weeks before the couple’s first child will celebrate her first birthday. The couple welcomed a daughter named Ashtyn Lilly on February 22, 2021. Ashtyn’s arrival came one year after the couple sadly suffered a miscarriage at six months. The couple had been pregnant with a baby girl.
Brittany shared a follow-up post to her announcement video where she shared how she’s been feeling so far in her pregnancy. “Pretty severe nausea the first trimester, worse than with Ashtyn but not as bad as with our first girl. no cravings but lots of aversions. and exhaustion like I’ve ever known 😅 but maybe that’s cuz we have an infant too?! regardless- we are STOKED!” She also asked her followers to weigh in on if they thought this little one would be a boy or a girl.
