Actress Jenna Ushkowitz, famously known for starring in the TV series Glee portraying the role of Tina Cohen-Chang, is a mom! The actress and her husband David Stanley welcomed their first child together.
When the couple revealed they were expecting in January, they announced the gender of their child. It’s a girl! Jenna did not reveal many details about her little one when announcing her arrival. She posted a black and white picture in the hospital that was a close-up of Jenna’s neck with her daughter’s hand reaching up. The actress wore a necklace that read “mama.” Alongside the image, Jenna captioned, “Our hearts have burst wide open.”
The arrival of the couple’s daughter comes almost one year since Jenna and David tied the knot. They were married in a romantic outdoor ceremony in Los Angeles after dating for three years. At the time, the actress shared with Brides that the couple opted for a smaller wedding due to the pandemic. “We always dreamed of a wedding on the smaller side, but with COVID, we definitely had to scale back more than we anticipated. Having our closest family and loved ones there (safely) was a priority for us. By setting the expectation from the get-go that we had to limit guests, we were able to focus our planning and ensure that we could stay flexible in case any element of the day needed to change.”
On the 8 month anniversary of their wedding, Jenna shared a throwback picture from the day and reflected on their first few months as a married couple. “Married 8 months today and looking back on it all. Wow time has FLOWN. Since then, we’ve bought a house, started a renovation and oh, are expecting a baby 😱 A lot to take in. Feeling grateful and excited for the incredible moments ahead.”
Congratulations to Jenna and David on the arrival of their daughter. We wish them lots of love as they embrace life as new parents.
