Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, most notably known for her role as Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, is growing her family! The actress is expecting her second child, her first with her husband Brad James.

While promoting her upcoming Christmas movie on Lifetime, New Orleans Noel, Keshia debuted her baby bump while wearing a gorgeous red and purple dress. She shared a video of her with her husband to Instagram alongside the caption, “Oh Baby Baby!! Baby James coming 2023!!” This new bundle of joy will be Keshia’s first child with Brad. The actress shared a 5-year-old daughter named Ella with her ex Edgerton Hartwell.

Earlier this year, the House of Payne alum opened up about her struggles with growing a family on the OWN documentary Eggs Over Easy: Black Women & Fertility. Keshia recalled that she was set to begin fertility treatments when the COVID pandemic hit. “I began the process of freezing my eggs nd then literally the day that I was supposed to start my meds is when, as a result of the pandemic, they shut down all elective medical procedures. So, I was unable to continue.”

She continued by discussing how the pandemic affected what were considered “elective” procedures. “I think a lot of people didn’t realize that, with the world shutting down in the pandemic, it didn’t just affect your ability to go to the mall, or to do sporting events the way you want to, but it definitely affected a lot of people from a medical standpoint. People were unable to get mammograms and cancer surgery [which] were very much needed. It’s crazy that preserving your right and your ability to have a baby is considered elective. It shouldn’t. It should be an option that’s given to all women.”

Keshia and Brad began dating in 2019 after meeting on the set of Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta. The couple tied the knot in September 2021. Congratulations to Keshia and Brad on growing their family!
