In February of this year, reports circulated that actors Adam Driver and Joanne Tucker were growing their family. The rumors began when the couple was spotted in New York City, with Joanne appearing to have a growing baby bump. Now, during a dress rehearsal for Saturday Night Live, the Ferrari star confirmed he welcomed baby number 2.
The actor’s December 9th hosting gig of the sketch comedy show marked his fourth time hosting and, during his practice opening monologue, he quipped, “Last year, I asked for a baby girl, and I got it, which is exhausting. So this year, I wish for Ambien!” As for the little one’s moniker and birth date, those details were not revealed. This isn’t surprising as Adam and Joanne are notoriously private regarding their personal lives. The couple also share a son, but have not shared details about him either.
The Marriage Story star and American Rust star kept the birth of their son private for nearly two years before his arrival was accidentally confirmed. In 2018, Joanne’s sister changed her Instagram profile from private to public. Internet sleuths uncovered a post of the sisters where both were pregnant attending a baby shower. Two years after that, in 2020, Adam discussed his son for the first time during another SNL hosting appearance. He joked during his opening monologue, “I’m a husband. And a father. It’s in that order though. I’ve been very clear with my son about that, he’s second in everything.”
