Olympian Allyson Felix has grown her family! The track and field athlete has announced the arrival of her second baby with her husband Kenneth Ferguson. The couple announced in November that they were expecting a baby.

Allyson and Kenneth welcomed a baby boy on April 10th. “We are overjoyed to welcome our son.” The little one has been named after his father: Kenneth Maurice Ferguson III. However, they revealed that they “will lovingly call” him Trey as a nickname. The newborn joins the family with an older sister, the couple’s first baby Camryn, 5.

In an interview with PEOPLE, the Saysh co-founder discussed her birth experience, comparing it to her traumatic birth with Camryn. Allyson was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia at 32-weeks pregnant and had to undergo an emergency c-section. “As a Black woman who already had been through a traumatic life-threatening delivery with my daughter,” the 11-time Olympic medalist explained, “I desperately wanted a joyful birth experience I could celebrate. I’m so grateful I had a doctor who saw me, heard me and made me feel safe.”

Allyson went on to detail her team and how supported she felt throughout the birth. “I had a doula who supported, guided and believed in me. I was able to have the unmedicated VBAC I deeply desired. The entire experience was powerful, challenging, healing and so beautiful. My birth experience inspires me to continue to advocate for Black maternal health and the outcomes we can achieve when we listen [to] and support women.”

Congratulations to Allyson and Kenneth on the arrival of their baby boy! We wish them lots of love as they embrace life as a family of four.
