Former soccer player and reality star Ashley Cain is a father once again. The Challenge star has announced the birth of his second baby, born nearly three years after Ashley lost his first baby to a rare form of cancer in 2021. “Welcome to the world my son.”

Ashley announced in December that he was expecting a baby, revealing the little one would be a baby boy. He has not revealed the identity of the baby’s mother but has shared he has known her since he was 18-years-old but that the two are not in a relationship. The Ex on the Beach star welcomed his son on January 16th and named him Aliyas Diamond Cain. Ashley posted a photo of his son in the hospital wearing a white hat with his name knitted on it in light blue while holding his father’s hand. The reality star penned a touching message for his son, captioning the post, “I will love you, appreciate you, guide you and protect you with all of my heart, for the rest of my life. & you will have the most beautiful guardian angel heaven holds watching over you and protecting you too. Welcome to the world my son. May your body be strong, your mind be wise, your heart be loving and your spirit be pure and truly powerful.”

In the comments of his post, the former soccer player elaborated on his son’s name. “What the letter ‘A’ holds is a family tradition, being the first letter of my father’s and all of my uncles first names. The name ‘Diamond’ is from my grandma and their mother. It’s our family name along with Cain, it’s our Vincentian roots, all the way from our small island and from our great people.” Ashley’s daughter Azaylia, whom he shared with his ex Safiyya Vorajee, also had the middle name of Diamond. Azaylia passed away at 8-months-old in April 2021 after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia. Since her passing, Ashley founded The Azaylia Foundation, an organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer.

Congratulations to Ashley on the arrival of baby Aliyas!
