Ahead of the premiere of her film Barbie, director Greta Gerwig has revealed she and her partner Noah Baumbach have grown their family. In December, Greta revealed she and Noah were expecting their second baby. In a recent interview with Elle U.K., the director shared her new arrival was born four months ago.

Greta and Noah added another baby boy to their family! During the interview, Greta excused herself to a private room to pump and then showed the interviewer images of her son at his four-month checkup. “He’s a little Schmoo. I don’t know if you can tell energy from the picture, but that’s very much his energy. He’s a wise little baby.” She opened up about what life is like with her new family member sharing, “The little guy is sleeping through the night. But I’m still doing that thing where I wake up, every hour to 90 minutes, and just hover. You just keep wanting to look at that baby. So I’m slightly in a twilight state.”

The Little Women director did not reveal when exactly her son was born nor his name. He joins the couple’s family with two older siblings. Greta and Noah, a film director and screenwriter, welcomed their first baby in March 2019, a son named Harold. Noah has a 13-year-old son with his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Greta officially announced her pregnancy during an interview with Jimmy Fallon last December, but she had tried to announce the news at an event prior to that. “I went to an event recently,” she shared at the time, “and I wore something, and I thought everyone would be so interested that I was having another child, and nobody cared. It didn’t get reported on. Turns out nobody’s paying attention,” she added with a laugh.

Congratulations to Greta and Noah on the arrival of their second baby!
