Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin, has announced the arrival of her first child with her husband Chandler Powell!

Bindi shared a photo to her Instagram page that featured her and Chandler looking down at their daughter, whom they’ve chosen to name Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. The conservationist went into detail about each of the names the couple gave their daughter. “Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.”

Bindi shared details about Grace’s arrival. Grace weighed 7lbs, 7oz and was 20 inches long at birth. She was also born on March 25th, which happens to be the anniversary of Bindi and Chandler’s wedding day! Bindi wrote, “Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter.”

The daughter of the Crocodile Hunter shared beautiful sentiments for her daughter, “Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed.”

Bindi and Chandler met at the Australia Zoo over six years ago. They became engaged in 2019 and tied the knot last March in an intimate ceremony with immediate family. The couple had spent time planning a more extravagant wedding but due to the coronavirus pandemic, they had to change their plans.

Congratulations to Bindi and Chandler on the arrival of Grace! We wish them all the best as they dive into this new adventure as parents.
