Cardi B is going to be a mother of three! The rapper took to Instagram today to announce that she is pregnant with her third baby. The news comes on the heels of filing for divorce from her husband, rapper Offset.
The “Wanna Be” rapper shared two images showing off her growing baby bump. She stood on a balcony at night wearing a silky red dress and red fur coat. The dress was cut in the front to expose her bump. In her caption, she referenced her divorce and pregnancy writing, “With every ending comes a new beginning!” The rappers share two children together: daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, born in July 2018 and son Wave Set Cephus, born in September 2021. Offset also has three other children from previous relationship: two sons named Kody and Jordan and a daughter named Kalea.
Cardi B went on to share a hopeful message for this new chapter in her life and her gratitude for her new baby. “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
The rappers tied the knot in September 2017 and their relationship has been on-again, off-again. In 2018, they announced they were breaking up and Cardi B went on to file for divorce in September 2020. They later called it off. Yesterday, it was reported that the “WAP” rapper filed for divorce. The couple’s split has been speculated for some time following a comment the rapper made in an Instagram Live video in December 2023. She shared at the time, “I’ve been single for a minute now. But I have been afraid … Not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been, like, a sign.”
