Country music singer and songwriter Chris Lane and his wife, Lauren Bushnell Lane of The Bachelor fame, have announced the arrival of their first child together! The couple welcomed their newborn on June 8th at 11:12 AM in Nashville, Tennessee. Their little one weighed 9 lbs and was 19.5 inches long at birth.

Lauren shared an image of herself in the hospital holding her newborn to share the news. It’s a boy! She shared that she and Chris have chosen to name their first son Dutton Walker Lane. In the image, Lauren was even wearing a gold necklace with Dutton’s name on it. She captioned her post, “Your dad and I can’t get enough of all 9 pounds of you. Now back to baby cuddles and praising Jesus over and over again for this little miracle!!”

To share the news on his page, Chris posted a short video of himself holding his son. The proud father said in the video, “It’s my first time holding him!” The “I Don’t Know About You” singer accompanied the video with a caption that read, “Words can’t describe the love i feel inside my heart for this little man! Thanks for all the prayers🙏🏻 I will never understand how @laurenlane birthed a 9 pound baby! DUTTON WALKER LANE welcome to the world.”

News of Chris and Lauren’s relationship came out in November of 2018. The couple had been good friends prior to that. They became engaged in June 2019 after less than a year of dating. Chris proposed in the backyard of Bushnell’s family’s Oregon home to his song, “Big, Big Plans.” They tied the knot in a garden ceremony in Nashville in October 2019. The couple announced they would be welcoming their first child in December 2020.

Congratulations to Chris and Lauren on the arrival of their first child! We wish them all the best as they begin this exciting new adventure with Dutton.
