Last night, Late Night host Seth Meyers announced some exciting family news. He and his wife Alexi welcomed another child! The comedian invited his family on the set for a special Thanksgiving episode and surprised his audience with the news.

Seth played a video that featured his sons Ashe, 5, and Axel, 3, dressed in turkeys. The boys jumped up and down making turkey sounds and then counted down to introduce another costumed character. A little butterball sat between them to reveal their new baby sister! The boys gave their little sister kisses on her cheek. “We had another one, you guys!” Seth announced at the end of the video. “This is 10 weeks ago,” he went on to explain, “my wife gave birth to a baby girl, and I feel like it’s only fitting for you to tell everybody what her name is.”

The “you” he was referring to was his mother Hilary. She announced, clearly touched, “Oh, my gosh, her name is AdelaideAddie — after my mother.” Hilary revealed that she wasn’t surprised by the couple’s choice. “I knew, knowing Seth and Alexi, it had to start with an A, it had to be a cool name, and I know what family means to all of them.”

Hilary went on to share that she had “pretty much had it [guessed] but I didn’t know and I didn’t want to ask.” When she found out, she “burst into tears.” On welcoming a daughter, Seth revealed that it was “a dream come true.”

Seth and Alexi met at actor Chris Kattan’s wedding in 2008. Seth has previously shared that it was love at first sight with Alexi. The couple tied the knot at Chickemmoo Farm in Martha’s Vineyard on September 1, 2013. Congratulations to Seth and Alexi on welcoming another bundle of joy to their family!
