Country singer Taylor Dye of the musical duo Maddie and Tae has announced that she is pregnant! Taylor and her husband Josh Kerr will be welcoming their first child together in the spring of 2022. The “Girl in a Country Song” singer also revealed the gender of her little one!
Taylor shared three photos of her and Josh with her baby bump in full view. She captioned the carousel post “mom and dad 🤍 baby Kerr is joining us earthside in spring ‘22 and we are already so deeply in love.” She then teased the news of the gender of her little one. “swipe to find out what we’re having!” The final image of the post showed Taylor and Josh each biting into a piece of cake with a pink center. It’s a girl!
Many fellow country stars shared their congratulations to the couple in the comments of Taylor’s post, including her singing partner Maddie Marlow who commented, “Thank you Jesus for the biggest blessing!! I CANT WAIT TO MEET HER.” “God Made Girls” singer RaeLynn, who became a mom herself in September, wrote, “OMG CANT WAIT!!!” Fellow country band singer Jennifer Wayne of the group Runaway June also shared her excitement of Taylor’s news. “Oh my goodness!!!!! We are gonna have babies the same age!!!” Jennifer announced earlier this month that she was expecting her first child. “Huge congrats sister!!!”
Josh, a Grammy-winning songwriter, shared the same three images on his Instagram page to announce the news. He captioned his post, “@taylordye and I have been keeping a little secret for a few months now. mom & dad already love you so much baby Kerr.” Taylor left a sweet message on his post writing, “You are gonna be THE best dada 💕” The “Die From A Broken Heart” singer became public with their relationship in April of 2018. They were engaged a year later in September of 2019. The couple tied the knot just before the pandemic on February 21, 2020 at Ruby in Nashville, Tennessee.
