Last November, professional dancers Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov, who both compete on Dancing with the Stars, announced they were expecting their first child. Now, the couple has announced the arrival of their baby and has shared the name they chose for their newborn.

In a joint Instagram post, the couple images of their family at the hospital. The caption simply revealed her name and birth date: Nikita 🤍 5.30.23.” Nikita is a Slavic name that means “unconquerable.” Nikita was born just two days after her father’s birthday. Earlier this week, Daniella celebrated her husband with a post writing, “I thank god for giving me you… Happy birthday @pashapashkov I love you with all I have.”

Fellow professional dancers from the show wished the couple congratulations in the comments of their post. Peta Murgatroyd, who is pregnant with her second baby, wrote, “Welcome precious girl Nikita ❤️ So happy for you guys xo.” Witney Carson, who welcomed baby number two earlier this month, commented, “She’s so perfect omg!” Another new mom-of-two, Lindsay Arnold gushed, “Perfect baby Nikita 😍😍❤️❤️❤️”

In preparing for her daughter’s arrival, Daniella reflected on her pregnancy on Instagram. “I’ve heard you really start to miss the feeling of being pregnant after birth…. I can imagine as I’ve fallen in love with being pregnant. There’s nothing like it.. Although I’m not as comfortable as I’d like to be at the moment and it feels like she’s ripping me apart with her daily dance parties, I love carrying her and feeling her move. In the meantime the OB said she’s pretty comfy in there😅 sooooo not sure if she’ll come earlier or later but, I’m soaking up these last moments with our little one in my belly.”

Congratulations to Daniella and Pasha on welcoming Nikita into the world! We wish them lots of love as they navigate their new role as parents.
