Multiple reports have confirmed that actress Emma Stone has welcomed her first child with her husband, Saturday Night Live segment director Dave McCary.
According to the reports, the couple has welcomed a baby girl! There is no news yet on the name they’ve chosen for their first child or any details regarding her birth.
News of Emma’s pregnancy was revealed in January of this year after photos of the La La Land star surfaced from December 30th where she was out with a friend in Los Angeles. Emma was cradling a growing baby bump in the images.
Emma is not active on social media and while Dave has an Instagram page, he hasn’t shared a new post since May of 2020.
Emma met Dave at the end of 2016 while the actress was hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live. They collaborated on a taped sketch directed by Dave titled “Wells for Boys.” It wasn’t until October of 2017 that the couple confirmed they were in a relationship. Two years later in December of 2019, the couple announced they were engaged. They tied the knot in September of 2020.
While the Oscar winner never came out to reveal her pregnancy, she did allude to her desire to start a family back in November while promoting her new film The Croods: A New Age. “I feel pretty good about starting my own pack. Although I don’t think that my pack would be quite as physically capable as the Croods are. …They’re pretty rough and tumble and I don’t know if my pack would be as rough and tumble.”
