Actress Gabourey Sidibe is going to be a mom! The Empire star took to Instagram to reveal that she and her husband Brandon Frankel are pregnant. But that’s not all… the couple is expecting twins!
Gabourey shared pictures of her and Brandon creating a registry with Babylist to announce the news. “I’m pregnant! We thought it was time to give our cats some responsibility so we’re giving them each a baby to take care of!” She pulled out all the stops with twin puns writing,” Double the babies,double the cats, double the fun!! Twin Delivery coming soon! Twinty Twinty Four!!” The actress did not reveal when her twins are due to arrive.
The Precious star met her husband, an internet personality, on a dating app. The two became engaged in November 2020. During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan in December 2022, she revealed that the couple had gotten married. “The thing about weddings is I don’t like them,” the actress shared at the time. “I don’t like them. Here’s an example of how much I don’t like them: I’m actually married. We got married over a year ago.” Gabourey revealed that she and Brandon tied the knot “at the kitchen table” four months after getting engaged.
On Valentine’s Day this month, the mom-to-be gushed over her husband in an Instagram post writing, “Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life @brandontour!!!! We’ve spent the last 5 VDays together and every year the best gift you can ever give me, is yourself. Thank you for all the love and laughs and cuddles while watching tv. You are my favorite and I can’t wait to conquer every battle with you my love.”
