Congratulations to actress Gabrielle Union and her husband, basketball pro Dwyane Wade — the couple just welcomed their first child, a baby girl, via surrogate.
Gabrielle took to Instagram to share the first photos of mom and dad with their new arrival, though she did not reveal the baby’s name.
She captioned the sweet images: “A LOVELY DAY. We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl! #onelastdance #skintoskin @dwyanewade.”
Gabrielle and Dwyane have been married since 2014. He has three children from previous relationships.
In her book, We’re Going to Need More Wine, Gabrielle discussed her infertility struggles and revealed that she had multiple miscarriages. She explained, “For 3 years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant.”
