Last month, reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt announced they were expecting their second child together. Now, The Hills stars have revealed the gender of their little one.
It’s a boy! Heidi shared with Us Weekly that she “did the earliest test to find out and I just felt like my doctor had the answer so I called. And I was like, ‘Hey, just wanted to check in to see if you guys got the result?’ And they were like, ‘Actually, we just got them 10 minutes ago.’ So I couldn’t wait for Spencer and I was like, ‘OK, I’m ready!’ They were like, ‘It’s a boy!’ And honestly, I was so shocked.” The reality star has been “convinced” that she was having a girl but on learning that she’s having a son, she shared, “I couldn’t be happier.” Spencer, on the other hand, had guessed the couple would have another son.
Heidi and Spencer, who tied the knot in 2008, welcomed their first son Gunner Stone in October of 2017. The Hills: New Beginnings star is looking forward to giving Gunner a brother. “Gunner really wanted a brother and he wanted a brother to copy him and to share so many things with him so knowing that we’re having a boy, we are all so excited. It makes so much sense for our family.” She continued by sharing, “I think a brother relationship and dynamic is so great and I’m just hoping that they’ll be really close throughout their life.”
The couple is thinking about baby names but hasn’t yet decided on one. Heidi shared that choosing a name has been “one of the most challenging parts” of her pregnancy so far. But they have “plenty of time to brainstorm,” she shared. “We are on a good trajectory. That’s for sure. I have one name I’m not going to say because it’s my favorite name and I think that’s the one we’ll go with.”
