Actress and dancer Jenna Dewan is growing her family! The Rookie star revealed in an interview with Romper that her third baby is on the way. This little one will be Jenna’s second baby with her partner Steve Kazee, a fellow actor.
In her interview, the 43-year-old revealed she is in her second trimester but that she and the Broadway star won’t be learning the sex of their baby beforehand. She also revealed that this little one will be her final baby. “You don’t race to the end because this is the last time,” she reflected when referencing their decision to be surprised about their baby’s sex. “So there’s a bit of joy and a little sadness. I’m really trying to enjoy it all and not try to just get through the days.”
Jenna and Steve, who have been together since 2018 and have been engaged since 2020, welcomed their first baby together in March 2020, a son named Callum. According to the Witches of East End star, the 3-year-old has been asking humorous questions about his new sibling. The actress recalled, “[I told him] when the baby is ready, the baby comes out. And he’s like, ‘I want the baby right now. Can you just pull it out of your mouth?’ Steve and I died laughing. I said, ‘I wish, baby. That would be amazing if we could pull it out my mouth. But no, it definitely goes a different way.’”
In addition to her children with Steve, Jenna shares a daughter with her ex-husband, actor Channing Tatum. The couple, who met on the set of their movie Step Up, share a 10-year-old daughter named Everly. In her interview, Jenna reflected on her co-parenting experience with the Magic Mike star. “It’s always a journey. It never ends. You just learn as you go and get better at certain things, and for me, Evie will always be my top priority. I just continually put her first. That’s how I can manage all hard things.” She admitted that getting used to splitting time was challenging. “In the beginning, that was really tough. And it was definitely hard on her in the beginning, too, but she’s gotten into a flow with that a lot more. But she loves Callum. She really adores him.”
To end her interview, Jenna happily reflected on experience with motherhood. “I really love being a mom. That’s something I knew my whole life, but I really know it now.” Congratulations to Jenna and Steve on the news of their pregnancy!
