Actor Joshua Jackson, star of Little Fires Everywhere and his wife, actress and model Jodie Turner-Smith, have announced the arrival of their first child together, a baby girl!

Reps for the stars confirmed the arrival of their daughter to People. Their reps shared that “Both mother and baby are happy and healthy.”

Earlier this month, Jodie shared a beautiful shot of her in the nude showing off her baby bump. Her caption reflected on her journey to motherhood. “moth·er /ˈməT͟Hər/ : a fantastic voyage that begins in wonder and transformation. >>>>> thank you @fancygomez for capturing a small piece of this portion of the journey. i will never forget how this felt and now won’t soon forget how it looked.”

The couple confirmed their marriage in December of last year after being spotted wearing rings the month prior. In January, they revealed their pregnancy news when they were seen together in LA and Jodie was wearing a form-fitting dress that showed off her growing bump.

Last month, Joshua spoke with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on Live with Kelly and Ryan to share how he and Jodie were handling the last few weeks of pregnancy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “We’re figuring out how to deal with interacting with doctors and hospitals right now and just managing the stress,” he shared. He also said that to pass the time, the couple was doing lots of binge-watching and playing games together, Monopoly and Jenga being a few of their favorites.

The couple tends to keep their personal lives very private, so they may opt not to show photos of their daughter online or share her name. We wish them lots of love as they transition into their life as a new family.
