Earlier this month, entertainment journalist Jason Kennedy and his wife Lauren Scruggs announced they were expecting their second child. The news came one year after the birth of their first child. Now, the couple has shared more news: the sex of their new family member.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared a video from an ultrasound appointment where the technician shared her analysis of the sex based on the images in the ultrasound as well as a blood test. It’s a girl! Jason and Lauren were in awe at the news and the fashion blogger even shed a few tears learning she would become a mother to a baby girl.
The TODAY Show contributor and his wife welcomed their son Ryver Rhodes in April 2022 after struggling to conceive over 4 years. Ryver was conceived through in-vitro fertilization (IVF) while their daughter was seemingly conceived naturally based on how the couple described their announcement earlier this month. “This was a major surprise and the sweetest plot twist.”
Jason and Lauren began dating in 2013 and were engaged just eight months into their relationship in May 2014. The two wasted no time in tying the knot and said their “I dos” in December 2014. The couple was wed in the Still Lolo author’s home state of Texas at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas surrounded by family and friends.
