In celebration of Christmas this year, country music singer Kane Brown revealed he and his wife Katelyn are growing their family! The couple announced they are expecting their third baby together. “Last Christmas of 4 🎄❤️ Merry Christmas everyone!!”
To announce the news, the “Heaven” singer and his wife shared a joint post with an image of their family sitting on a couch with a Christmas tree behind them. The couple’s oldest daughter, four-year-old Kingsley Rose, happily held up the sonogram image of her new sibling. This baby announcement isn’t the first time Kane and Katelyn have shared family news on a major holiday. On New Year’s Eve in 2022, the couple revealed they secretly welcomed their second baby, and managed to keep Katelyn’s pregnancy a complete secret. The couple welcomed a daughter named Kodi Jane on December 30, 2021. While the couple did not share the sex or due date of their newborn, the chances that they’ll give them a “K” moniker seem pretty likely given their current naming trend.
While the “Bury Me in Georgia” singer has made a career as a musician, Katelyn is also musically talented. Before she met Kane, she released her own music and ultimately put her career on hold after meeting and dating Kane in 2016. They dated for eight months before getting engaged in 2017 and tied the knot one year later in October 2018 in Franklin, Tennessee. Katelyn ended up deciding to work in the business side of the music industry, but the two have collaborated quite a bit throughout their relationship.
Most notably, the two sang together in a duet titled “Thank God,” which they performed together at the 2023 CMT Music Awards. Last year, the singer spoke with PEOPLE about collaborating with his wife and shared, “My fans have been waiting five years for us to sing together.” He shared there were four other songs to choose from and recalled going through the choices with his wife, “‘Babe, you’re going to be on this one, or this one or this one,'” he remembered saying. “And then ‘Thank God’ came in and I was like, ‘This is the one.’ And she said the same thing, but I’m so glad I waited for this particular one to come out.” He went on to gush about his wife sharing, “I keep telling everybody she’s my secret weapon, but this song is just, like, us. I feel like it’s any relationship song or anybody that’s married or going to get married just knows. It’s like, ‘God put you in my life for a reason.'”
