Last Friday, Travis Barker, husband of Kourtney Kardashian, and his band Blink 182 had to cancel numerous European tour dates for the drummer to attend to an “urgent family matter.” While there was speculation about whether the concern was related to Kourtney’s pregnancy, which was announced in June, few details were revealed until days later, when sources claimed the reality star had left the hospital following a brief visit. Now, the Lemme founder has opened up about what happened.
Kourtney posted a black and white photo of herself holding Travis’s hand while she appeared to lie in a hospital bed. “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she began her candid post. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”
The Kardashians star went on to compare how this pregnancy different from that of her three older children, Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, whom she shares with her ex Scott Disick. “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”
While Travis did not share his own post about the news, he did reshare Kourtney’s post to his Instagram Stories. To close out her post, the POOSH founder expressed her gratitude writing, “Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.” We wish Kourtney and Travis lots of love and good health as they navigate through the remainder of Kourtney’s pregnancy.
