Former NSYNC band member Lance Bass has become a father! The singer welcomed twin babies with his husband Michael Turchin and he shared all the details on his new little ones.
Lance had shared with his followers a few weeks ago that his twins were set to make their arrival on October 13th. He teased his excitement on his Instagram Stories leading up to the day. Late last night, Lance announced his twins’ arrival by sharing their birth certificates on Instagram! “The baby dragons have arrived!!” he wrote in his caption. “I can not express how much love I feel right now. Thank you for all the kind wishes. It meant a lot.”
Lance and Michael shared the gender of their twins when they announced they were expecting this past June: a boy and a girl! Their son was born first at 1:24 PM on October 13th. They chose to name him Alexander James. Alexander weighed 4 lbs, 14 oz at birth and was 18.5 inches long. The couple’s daughter was born one minute later at 1:25 PM on October 13th. They gave her the name Violet Betty. Violet was born just a bit smaller than her brother weighing 4 lbs, 11 oz and measuring 17.5 inches long at birth.
Michael shared the birth certificate images to his Instagram as well along with a message about this new journey. “Introducing the newest members of the Turchin-Bass household: Violet Betty and Alexander James!!!! They’re pure perfection and yes that includes the dozens of poops we’ve already dealt with. Our hearts our full!!! Thank you everyone for the well wishes.”
Lance and Michael welcomed their twins via surrogate. They opened up about their surrogate journey with their fertility doctor, Dr. Shahin Ghadir, on his podcast last month. The couple are very close with their surrogate. On the episode, Lance shared, “She’ll always be their angel mom. She’s such a part of their lives. I want our kids to know exactly who she is.”
